Client Account Renewal allows you to specify the validity of a client account. Using this Client Account Renewal Trigger Rule option, you can send reminders before or after expiry of the client support account.
Note: It also allows you to choose whether to deactivate the account or provide selective rights to your client after expiry of support account.
Add a Client Account Renewal Trigger Rule
To add a client account renewal trigger rule:
1. Open System Rule page.
2. Click Client Account Renewal
.
3. View Account Renewal Trigger Rule Details page opens, as shown in the Figure 10-9-1. This page will show you the name of the account renewal trigger rule with the number of actions that will be taken, before or/and after expiry of the client support account.

4. Click
to open Add Account Renewal Trigger Rule
page. Enter information in the required fields, as shown in the Figure 10-9-2:
Note: The first client account renewal trigger rule added will automatically become the default account renewal trigger rule.

5. Click
to enter the notifications for your client
account renewal trigger rule. Enter information in the required fields, as
shown in the Figure 10-9-3:

6. You can also enter any other e-mail address in the ‘Send Email From’ optional field in the Figure 10-9-3.


7. Click
to add a Client Account Renewal
Trigger Rule.
Example: At times you need to send
reminders to the client, before or after expiry, of the client support account.
For managing such a situation, you have to add a client account renewal trigger
rule. To do so, enter a trigger name, specify the number of times the account
renewal trigger rule will be fired and also set the validity period of the
client account, as shown in the Figure 10-9-2. Click
.
Now, under notifications, select whether you will send the reminders before or
after expiry of the client support account and the time (days and hours) when
it will be sent. Select the auto responder that will be sent to the client with
the reminder and the e-mail address of the account from where the e-mail will
be sent, as shown in the Figure 10-9-3. After this, also select the radio
button to decide whether to provide selective rights to your client after
expiry of support account (for example, ability to create or update ticket for
a period after expiry) or deactivate the account, as shown in the Figure 10-9-3.
If you have specified more than 1 account renewal trigger action, as shown in
the Figure 10-9-2,
then fill in all the information in the same way as specified under
Notifications in the Figure 10-9-3. Click
.
To modify a client account renewal trigger rule:
1. Open View Account Renewal Trigger Rule Details page.
2. Click on the Trigger Name to be modified.
3. Modify the various fields and click
to save the changes.
Note: You cannot modify the Trigger Name.
To delete a client account renewal trigger rule:
1. Open View Account Renewal Trigger Rule Details page.
2. In the View Account Renewal Trigger Rule Details page, check against the Trigger Name to delete a client account renewal trigger rule, as shown in the Figure 10-9-4.

Note: You cannot delete the default account renewal trigger rule.

A delete confirmation box pops-up. Click
to confirm deletion.
