This feature allows you to create rules for importing information from LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) and active directory.
To create a LDAP rule:
1. Open Dynamic Forms page.
2. Click Create LDAP Rule to open the LDAP page. Check the box to select the LDAP attributes and selects the corresponding database attributes from the drop-down menu, as shown in the Figure 13-7-1.

Note: You will view a message (Rules Successfully mapped) in the LDAP page, as shown in the Figure 13-7-2.

4. Open Client Section (Import) pop-up.
5. Select LDAP from the drop-down menu, as shown in the Figure 13-7-3.

7. Client Import Screen opens. Check the box Use Condition, to customize import of records. For importing all records, uncheck this box, as shown in the Figure 13-7-4. Enter the information in the following fields:

Note: You can display records on the basis of attributes by selecting it from the drop-down menu and then entering the appropriate information in the box next to it.

Note: You can view the number of records imported, modified and left in the Client Import Screen, as shown in the Figure 13-7-5.

9. Open Client Profile by clicking on the main menu bar to view all the profiles including profiles (records) imported from LDAP server.
Tip: LDAP can also be used for authentication. Open Show Modify Client Section page and choose LDAP from the Authentication Mechanism drop-down menu, as shown in the Figure 13-7-6, and then click Update to use it as an authentication mechanism.
